| COMPUTER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT |
Implemented million dollar
Integrated Work Information Management and Material
Acquisition System. The system consisted of 120
workstations, and 55 printers tied into a
mini-mainframe.
This system provided total automation of job
processing, labor reporting, material ordering
and processing, personnel management, and
financial management.
Coordinated pre-implementation construction,
hardware installation, and software
installation.
Accelerated a late starting construction
project to meet equipment delivery dates and
software implementation schedule.
Arranged schedules, lodging, and classes to
provide hands-on training to more than 300
users.
Supervised five technicians in the daily
operation and programming of control processes
for computer adaptation.
Assisted users with hardware and software
problems.
Developed programs and reports for functional
users.
|
| PROJECT MANAGEMENT |
Directed the design, award, and
construction management of 174 construction
contracts valued at over $1 billion.
Coordinated the efforts of 20 project engineers,
14 project managers, and scores of foreign nation
agencies.
Initiated procedures to accurately identify and
record all sources of design cost; reduced annual
design costs of $3.5M by over 15%.
Expedited award of design contracts and
completion of concept designs. By reducing normal
design/award period by 8 weeks an additional $21
million in projects were submitted for approval.
|
| PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT |
Programmed and planned the
maintenance and repair of 3,000 facilities and
utility systems valued at over $100 million. Managed
staff of 39 engineers and technicians. Prepared and
executed $20 million annual budget.
Increased productivity by 5%. Increased
capability to respond to customer requests by 25%.
Obtained funding for $2.5M in Energy Conservation
projects and an additional $750,000 for facility
projects.
|
| RESOURCE MANAGEMENT |
Reallocated in-house planning
technicians to support the engineering design effort
which resulted in the award of over $5 million in
facility projects, a 100% increase over the prior
year.
Streamlined work procedures and developed
computer programs which allowed a work force
reduction of 15% while maintaining the same high
level of efficiency.

SYSTEM
ANALYSIS |
Analyzed plans for design
deficiencies and cost efficiency. Design changes on
one project alone saved $45,000 in construction
costs and $25,000 in annual utility costs. |
COMMUNI-
CATIVE SKILLS |
Rewrote several technical
regulations in simplified language. Clarity and
comprehensiveness of these regulations reduced
paperwork by almost 20% and decreased work request
processing time by over 10%.
Briefing to customers on procedures for
submitting and processing work requests reduced work
request rejection rate by more than 15%.
Coordinated efforts of 20 project engineers, 14
project managers, and scores of American and foreign
